ABSTRACT

This study is design to critically investigate the influence of principal-Teacher relationship on teachers’ effectiveness secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo state. The purpose of this research work is to identify the influence of principal-Teacher relationship on teacher’s effectiveness secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo state.

The researcher adopts a simple survey research design approach in which four research questions were formulated. The population of the study consisted of 343 respondent from the twenty (20) secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo state out of which (5) schools were randomly sampled for the study. From the (5) sampled schools, simple random sampling technique was also used to sample 160 teachers and 11 principals. Questionnaire of four point rating scales was used as the method of data collection. The instrument was subjected to face validity by two experts in measurement and evaluation and by my supervisor. Data collected were analyze using mean score; the study revealed that the influence of principal-Teacher relationship on teachers effectiveness secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo state.
