ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of principal’s leadership styles on teachers’ job performance in Ovia North-East LGA. Descriptive survey research design was adopted. This study comprised all 962 teachers in secondary schools in Ovia North-East LGA of Edo State. Random sampling was employed to select 96 teachers to participate in the study. Questionnaire was used to collect the needed data. The data collected was analyzed with the mean and standard deviation using a mean criterion of 2.50 while Z-Test was employed to establish the difference between principals’ leadership styles and teachers’ job performance based on gender and Pearson Correlation for the relationship between principals’ leadership styles and teachers’ job performance. Data analysis was done using SPSS software.
