ABSTRACT
This research investigates The Influence of Nigeria home video films on criminality: A case study of Coming from Insanity and Oloture. This is with the aim to find out how Nigeria crime videos can influence the youths in the society. The research design embraces the content analysis methodology. Research findings indicates that most Nigerians are not only influenced but are also negatively affected by the contents of Nigeria home video films. As we know, films depicts reality and reality goes on to influence the story behind movies we see on our screen. It is recommended that more films exposing the evils of human trafficking be produced to educate the audience. If human trafficking must be put to a stop, notable figures in government must not take part in it. It will be a futile effort to checkmate this societal vice if those in power are perpetrators of it. Child rights protection should be strict enforced to ensure non-exploitation of children. Government and elite organizations should fund the production of similar films like the ones under this study.
