A correlation coefficient of 0.75 was obtained. The descriptive survey research design was used for this study. Population of the study consisted of senior secondary students in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State.
The findings from the study revealed that Gender and location significantly influenced the selected motor skills performance of secondary school students in Ovia north East. Urban girls performed better than rural girls in 50 meters dash, standing broad jump and 10 meters shuttle run based on location of the school and gender. It was therefore, recommended that the coaches, physical education instructors and games masters/mistresses should create awareness. Placement of students and staff in secondary schools should be done randomly so that there will be an even distribution of both high and low achievers in all schools to discourage the concentration of only high or low achievers in some schools.
