ABSTRACT
This study examined the Influence of knowledge on Family Planning practices among women of childbearing age in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. A sample of one hundred (100) women between the ages of 15 -49years who were attending Central hospital Ughelli were randomly selected and took part in the study. A survey research design was adopted for this study. A self-structured questionnaire tagged "The influence of knowledge on Family Planning practices among women of child bearing age in Ughelli North" were used for data collection. The instrument is made up of four sections A,B,C and D. Section A elicit information on demographic data from respondents such as Age, Religion, Number of children, occupation, Marital Status and Educational qualification. Section B elicit information on the knowledge of Family Planning, Section C elicit information on the practice of Family Planning, Section D elicit information on the reasons for not practicing Family Planning. Descriptive statistics such as Frequency and simple percentages were used for data analysis.
