The chapter examined the background of the study, the aims and objectives the scope of the study, methodology and literature review. The second chapter two talked about the birth of the internet and it further throws more light on the relevant influence of the internet and how the development of mobile internet and smartphones further expanded the reach and impact of the internet, allowing people to access information and communicate with others from anywhere in the world.The internet continues to evolve and with the emergence of social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, as well as the rise of e-commerce facilitated by companies like Amazon and eBay, the internet has become an essential part of our daily lives, allowing Businesses globally to communicate, access information, and conduct business with ease unlike what had exist with businesses in different parts of the world like in France, United kingdom, China, India and even Nigeria who made use of local trade and Marketing system which allowed for a Limited Market Access as these businesses of these various countries had limited reach beyond their immediate geographic area often time as seen in the early 15th and 19th century.
