ABSTRACT
The influence of globalization and technological development on youth in Edo State is becoming a vital and a global issue. In view of the finding in the table analyzing the study, nevertheless differ from the various opinions on the view of the related literature, this can as well be attributed to the influence of globalization and technological development on youth in Oredo Local Government Area. Technology makes globalization easier, in the sense globalization posit interconnectedness and relationships between countries and people, globalization to be effectively carried out technology and technological development should be in place such as 43 information technology through the use of media devices e.g. phones, email etc. Globalization is most definitely a process that has changed the way the world works through the aids of technological development and advancement. In as much as globalization and technology has led to the rapid growth and development of every countries and has enhance global peace and stress free lifestyle, we should not fail to highlight the side effect of it such as imposition of another country’s norms, value, ideology and culture as well as violation or oppression of the citizen’s right in their own country globalization affect norms, laws, and cultural ideology through technological development. In recent years, Edo state has witnessed significant growth in its economy driven by technology and globalization. Overall, the influence of globalization and technological development on youth in Edo state has presented a range of challenges.
