ABSTRACT

With the widespread use of ICT in education, there is a pressing concern about receiving a high-quality education. As a result, numerous approaches for measuring educational quality have been devised and implemented. In this research, we offer a fuzzy model of student performance evaluation based on performance establishment. We'll also try to demonstrate the benefits of using fuzzy logic to assess students' understanding. This paper describes a novel fuzzy logic reasoning-based method for evaluating student success in Benson Idahosa University. The attributes considered for assessment include both academic and personal characteristics of the students. To address the issue of rule explosion, a stage-wise fuzzy reasoning technique was used. The simulation results validated the proposed methodology. The factors taken into account for evaluation include both intellectual and personality aspects of the students. To avoid the problem of rule explosion, a stage-wise fuzzy reasoning methodology was adopted. The advantage of weight-age allocation in the fuzzy approach is demonstrated by a comparison of fuzzy and standard average techniques. The modelling and simulation were done with the fuzzy logic toolkit in MATLAB-Simulink. The validity of the proposed methodology was demonstrated by the simulation results.
