ABSTRACT
Payment of various fees in most Nigerian institutions is not fixed at the start of the semester due to change in need and may be assigned to be paid any time throughout the semester. In scenarios like these, payment is to be made to a bank by physical means, in cash, to get a physical receipt for proof of payment. While this is known to be slow and stressful the effect because students needs to stand on a long queue to make this payment during banking hours which is probably also schooling hours hence making them miss classes but the experience became more terrifying during the cash scarcity Nigeria experienced in the early months of year 2023 and it sprung up the problem we are trying to solve with this project. The purpose is to review this existing design of payment of fees and the issues they have and propose a new automated and improved payment system for students and staff at departments and faculty level. This study uses an object-oriented and analysis design approach towards creating the system, use cases, class and action flows used to represent design for the system architecture. The created designs were later used as the framework on which the system is built on. The system handles the whole process of the payment from admin creating a bill to be paid by students, to student getting the bills and attending and admin having a list of those who has paid.
