ABSTRACT
The topic of this study is the implementation of safety practices in biology laboratories among senior secondary school students in Egor Local Government Area, Edo State. There has been a persistent decline in implementing safety practices in the biology laboratories among senior secondary school students. This has been of great concern to the government, educators and the society.The purpose of the study is to identify the implementation to safety practices in biology laboratories. The review of literature was organized under the following subheadings: the concept ofBiology,concept of Biology laboratory, concept of safety practices, laboratory safety practices and gender.The design of the study was a descriptive survey research.The area of the study is Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. The population of the study consists of 15 public schools of which 5 schools were selected and 20 students from each of the schools. The researcher randomly selected 100 respondents as sample size.The instrument used for data collection was questionnaire.The data collected was analyzed using frequency count,simple percentage,mean and standard deviation which significantly guided the study.
