ABSTRACT

Phishing attacks are a growing concern for organizations and Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), threatening the security of sensitive information and business operations. Thus far, some existing systems have played a major role in helping to combat phishing attacks in these Organization, but  have brought about some challenges, such as missed communication which have brought about silos unknowingly within such organization.

This project focuses on designing and implementing an advanced anti-phishing system to support and strengthen cybersecurity defenses against phishing attacks, while maximizing the value of anti-phishing systems and reducing mixed communication in such businesses. The system employs a layered strategy that incorporates sophisticated email filtering mechanisms for real-time detection, and aids user involvement in investigating intended phishing email to address the human factor in cybersecurity and also ensure these systems do not lead to missed communication in the cause of using them. This project aims to effectively minimize the success rate of phishing attacks and support existing email filtering systems in eliminating missed communication. Additionally, it examines current phishing trends, evaluates existing anti-phishing methods, and addresses the unique cybersecurity challenges faced by SMEs. The goal is to deliver a flexible and robust solution that enhances the cyber resilience of organizations and SMEs, contributing to a more secure digital environment.
