ABSTRACT
Effective Inventory management is very critical and important for businesses. Itensures that stock levels are maintained and that demand is met without over stocking or under stocking. Traditional inventory management systems like physical countingand manual record-keeping are very time and resource consuming, very error-proneand inefficient especially for larger businesses. This project emphasizes the need for a more automated and computerized inventory management system. This system is designed to be locally hosted and allows users to add to the inventory, log sales, generate reports and view the inventory. By automating these tasks, businesses can better track their inventory and monitor sales performance without spending so much time. The system is developed using Flask for the backend operations and the Graphical User Interface (GUI) is built with HTML and CSS. This structure provides a user-friendly but very effective interface and system for managing inventory. The system currently supports only single transaction processing with future considerations for batch processing and better automation. Through thorough testing, the system was verified and confirmed to be functional and efficient, capable of handling small to medium-scale inventory tasks while functioning smoothly. This project is a stable foundation for improvement and advancements like advanced data analytics and internet connectivity, cloud-based inventory tracking and optimizing database queries for better decision making and inventory management.
