ABSTRACT

This project is aimed at reducing the increasing rate of vehicle theft by incorporating a microcontroller-based intruder alarm system, more efficient and reliable than is in use. This system implements a fingerprint sensor as its primary mode of authentication and intruder identification, as opposed to keylocks. The process involved designing and implementing an intruder systema after wide study and proper sensor selection, integrating a microcontroller for real-time monitoring and triggering using code in C language and providing user-friendly features for easy activation and deactivation. The project and its individual components were also be tested at every stage of construction. The project satisfied the aim for which it was embarked upon, serving as means of security through fingerprint screening and proved to be user-friendly in its navigation.
