ABSTRACT
This study examined the Impact of Technology on Teaching and Learning English Language in Senior Secondary Schools in Ikorodu North Local Government Area, Lagos State, Nigeria. To guide the study, three research questions were raised. The design of this study adopted the descriptive survey research design which aims to investigate the patterns of technology usage among secondary school students and its impact on their academic performance. Utilizing a stratified random sampling technique, data were collected from fifty-eight (58) English language secondary school teachers in Ikorodu North Local Government. The survey instrument was a Likert scale questions structured in line with the purpose of the study. To ensure the validity of the instruments, 20 respondents were part of the population but will be excluded from the study sample. The findings of the study reveal that while technology has the potential to enhance learning, its impact largely depends on the nature and purpose of its use. The study recommends the need for educational institutions to encourage balanced and purposeful use of technology to optimize academic benefits.
