ABSTRACT
The study investigated the Impact of State Inspectorate Services on quality assurance in Public Secondary Schools in Edo South Senatorial District. To guide this study, five research questions were raised, one of them was answered while four were hypothesized and tested at 0.05 level of significance. The study was a survey research that adopted the correctional research design. The Population of the study comprised all the 137 public secondary school in Edo South Senatorial District. The multi stage sampling technique was used to select the sample size of 42 public secondary school and 126 teacher respondent used for the study. A questionnaire Titled “State inspectorate to service on quality Assurance in public secondary school (SISQAPSS) was used to collect data used for the study. The questionnaire which was validated by the research’s supervisor and three lecturers in the department of educational management, faculty of education comprised of Section A and B section A was used to collect demographic data while section B was used to collect data on inspectorate services variables. Variables of education inspectorate framework, education aims and objectives national guidelines for school inspection were taken into consideration. The reliability of the Instrument was done using Cronbach Alpha and yielded a reliability coefficient were analyzed using percentage, person correlation and analysis of variables. The findings revealed that level of inspectorate services impact on quality assurance in public secondary schools Edo South Senatorial District is high, the Findings further revealed that there is a significant relationship between inspectorate services and quality assurance in public secondary schools amongst other based on the findings, the study recommended that inspectorate services in Public secondary schools in Edo State Senatorial District should be high and sustain.
