ABSTRACT

The purpose of this study was to determine how school facilities affected students' academic performance in public secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area, Edo State. Four research questions were posed and investigated in order to accomplish this goal. The study used a descriptive survey research design, collected data using a questionnaire from five (5) selected secondary schools in Ovia North East Local Government Area, and analyzed the results using mean and standard deviation.

The study's conclusions include the fact that public secondary schools in Edo State's Ovia North East Local Government Area have a high rate of student use of their facilities. It was determined that there is a noteworthy correlation between the academic achievement of pupils in public secondary schools located in Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo State and the facilities provided by the schools.

The government should supply sufficient educational facilities, among other recommendations made by the study, to guarantee efficient teaching and learning processes.
