ABSTRACT
This study was designed to examine the Impact of School Environment on Student’s Academic Performance in Secondary Schools in Egor Local Government Area of Edo State. Five research questions guided the study.
The study adopted descriptive Survey research design. The simple random sampling technique was used. Also the Crombach Alpha reliability was used. The Statistical Product and Service Solutions format was used in the presentation of data. Questionaires were administered to 138 students.The results from the presentation showed that the school facilities, Teachers attitude towards student and peer group significantly affects Impact of School Environment on Student’s Academic Performance of Secondary Schools in Egor Local Government Area.
Based on the findings of this work, it was recommended that there should be conducive infrastructure, provision of educational resources such as textbooks, libraries e.t.c. security measures should be increased and teachers should be educated on how to maintain healthy relationship with their students as these will improve the academic performances of secondary school students.
