Abstract

This Study Aimed at Assessing the Impact of Salary increase and Fringe Benefits among Nigerian Workers: A Case Study Of Nigeria Brewery PLC Benin City.

This study was guided by four research objectives namely:  examine the effect of salary increase and fringe benefits among Nigeria workers; To highlight the problems that are inherent in increasing the salaries of workers who work in the public sector.; To identify and correct the environmental factors that affects the salary increase and fringe benefit of workers; To ascertain if employees whose salary are increased and receive fringe benefits actually show their satisfaction by increasing their productivity. The population size consisted of all the employees at Nigeria Brewery PLC Benin

An x-ray will be made on the methods of motivation easily discernable in modern organisation. This includes training and development, medical insurance, house rent, subsidy and awards. This study reviews that salary increase and fringe benefits are basic tools for the improvement of workers’ productivity level.  Recommendation based on the findings is that management should be more sensitive of its employees in areas concerning cost of living and take measures towards alleviy them. Management should increase the salaries and fringe benefits of the entire staff of the company, such as transportation, housing, medical care compensation.
