ABSTRACT
This study investigates the impact of psychological intervention on athletic injury prevention among University of Benin student athletes. The research employs a sample of 100 participants selected through stratified sampling techniques. Four research questions guide the study, focusing on the effectiveness of psychological intervention in reducing injury occurrence in sports. A questionnaire comprising items related to psychological intervention and injury occurrence was administered to the participants. Findings suggest that psychological intervention plays a significant role in reducing the occurrence of injuries in sports. This study contributes to the understanding of the psychological aspects of injury prevention in athletic settings and provides valuable insights for sports practitioners and policymakers in enhancing athletes’ well-being and performance.
