ABSTRACT

The study has investigated the impact of leadership styles on organisational performance in Cinfores Limited. The objectives are to examine the leadership in place in the organisation as well as examine the effect of the various leadership styles on employees and organisational performance. The study employed survey method and the questionnaires were administered electronically using survey monkey to every member of staff. The data were analysed by frequency count, percentages, mean and chi-square. The result shows that democratic, transactional, and transformational leadership are predominantly used in the company. The results of the hypotheses reveal that leadership styles are in place in the organisation, leadership styles in place have no effect on employees and organisational effects. In conclusion this study has shown that it is necessary for an organisation to be run without some form of leadership style being in place to help in the running of the organisation and Also we saw that the leadership style did not affect the performance of the company and the employee`s performance which means that there is another aspect of the organisation that aids and improves the performance level in Cinfores Limited. We recommend that organisations should have an effective leadership style to aid the day to day running of the organisation and more study should be done to find out what else could have an effect on organisational performance and employee performance.
