ABSTRACT
This study is carried out with a view to determine the impact of internet on Nigerian universities using University of Benin as a case study. This research is carried out through the use of questionnaires which were distributed among student of various faculties in the University of Benin. The results were taken and conclusions drawn after a proper analysis of property filled and returned questionnaires. The internet which is a conglomerate of computers and computer networks all interconnected or electronically tied together to form a very large, global network. With the advent of the internet, students have been able to gain access to online materials for research, study and virtually everything they do. The advantages of the impact of the internet are overwhelming, but the risk and disadvantages associated with it due to the misuse and abuse is also very rampant.
