ABSTRACT
This study was aimed at finding the impact of improvisation in the teaching of integrated science in secondary schools in Egor local government area of Edo state. This study reviewed works of different authors and to guide this study, four research questions were raised to assess the impact of improvisation in the teaching of integrated science. The study adopted the survey research method. From the research questions generated, a questionnaire was curated with 20 items that attempts to answer the research questions. The feedback from respondents was analyzed and presented in tables. The findings of this study revealed that the impact of improvisation in the teaching of integrated science is of a high extent as well as the fact that lack of knowledge to improvise, lack of finance to improvise, lack of support from the school authority, lack of storage space for storing improvised materials and large number of students in class are some of the challenges that integrated science teachers will face in designing improvisation. The findings also revealed that improvisation will improve the teaching of integrated science and that collaborating with fellow teachers, using students as resource personnels are some of the strategies that can be employed to make improvisation easy.
