ABSTRACT

"The purpose of this study was to evaluate the impact of health education workshops on students' knowledge and attitudes towards Hepatitis B among Uniben 100L students. A purposive sampling technique was used and a total of 50 students from the department of Health Safety and Environmental Education, Faculty of Education, UNIBEN participated in this study, receiving health education workshops about Hepatitis B and its prevention methods. A pre-test and post-test survey were conducted to assess students' knowledge and attitudes towards Hepatitis B before and after the health education workshops.

The results of the study showed that after receiving the health education workshops, there was a significant increase in students' knowledge about Hepatitis B and Students' attitudes towards Hepatitis B also improved, with more students reporting increased awareness of prevention methods and improved attitudes towards people with Hepatitis B.

The study highlights the importance of health education workshops in improving students' knowledge and attitudes towards Hepatitis B and other communicable diseases, and underscores the need for continued efforts to promote health awareness among young people."
