IMPACT OF GOOD QUALITY COACHING ON THE PERFORMANCE OF UNIVERSITY OF BENIN FOOTBALL ATHLETES

ABSTRACT

This study aims to investigate the impact of good quality coaching on the performance of the University of Benin football team. Four research questions were raised for the study. The descriptive survey research design was adopted for the study . The population of the study consisted of 75 Athletes in the university of Benin football team. Total population sampling technique was used as the population is small . Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics of frequency and percentage . By highlighting the impact of good quality coaching, this study aims to inform coaching practices and emphasize the importance of investing in qualified and dedicated coaches for university-level football teams. The research seeks to provide insights that can help optimize the performance and overall success of the University of Benin football team and potentially other university sports programs. In conclusion The success of any football team heavily relies on the quality of coaching they receive. In Recommendation, the University of Benin should prioritize the recruitment and development of highly qualified coaches for their football team. The university should allocate resources for continuous coaching education and professional development programs to ensure that the coaching staff remains up-to-date with the latest techniques and strategies in the field.
