ABSTRACT
The study examines the role of extended family members on marital instability in Egor Local government area of Edo state. It adopted the survey research design and a mixed method approached in data collection and analysis. A sample of two hundred respondents used in the study. The findings revealed that various factors play host to marriage success or failure in Egor LGA particularly the role of the extended family members play in the marriage; hence the need for a way forward to ameliorate this concern.
