ABSTRACT
This study investigates on the impact of early marriage and it’s perceived negative effect on young females in Edo state. Two 2 research questions were raised and the literatures related to the study were also reviewed. The study adopted the descriptive study research design. The population of the study consisted of a hundred and twenty (120) person’s in three 3 local governments(Oredo, Egor and Ovia) in Edo state, systematically and randomly selected, formed the sample of the population. The instrument used for the study was a “Questionnaire on the impact of early marriage and it’s perceived negative effect on young females in Edo state”. The questionnaire was validated by the project supervisor and two other lecturers from the department of Health, Safety and Environmental Education (HSE).
