ABSTRACT
The advent of digital transformation has revolutionized the accounting profession, presenting opportunities for enhanced efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making. This study investigates the impact of digital transformation on accounting practices, exploring the adoption and implementation of digital technologies such as cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and blockchain. A mixed-methods approach is employed, combining both quantitative and qualitative data from a survey of accounting professionals and case studies of organizations that have undergone digital transformation. The results highlight the benefits and challenges of digital transformation in accounting, including improved financial reporting, enhanced audit trails, and increased automation, as well as concerns related to data security, privacy, and the need for digital literacy. This study contributes to our understanding of the evolving role of accountants in the digital age and provides insights for practitioners, policymakers, and future research.
