Abstract
The study investigated the impact of Christianity on Benin land and its people. This has become necessary because even though the advent of Christianity and its attendant western civilization has affected every aspect of Benin life, there seem to be no scholarly investigation into this all important history and development. The method adopted is historical and phenomenological. Part of the finding is that Christianity has positively affected Benin land; it has equally eroded some positive aspect of the people’s life. Caution is needed so that the Benin’s do not lose their cultural heritage and identity. Time and finance posed some challenges in the course of this study. However concerted effort was made to get to the root of the issue while on field investigation.
