ABSTRACT
The study sought to find out the impact of childhood maltreatment on child health development and growth Two research questions and two hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Sample consisted of 800 students in Total,400 from private secondary schools and 400 from public secondary schools The instrument used for data collection for the impact of childhood maltreatment on child health development and growth was questionnaire. Data collected were analyzed using analysis of Taro Yamani statistical tool to get our sample space and chi square.. The finding of the study revealed that there is no reduction in child maltreatment experienced It was also revealed that A child maltreatment affect the mental and physical health of minor . The implications of the findings were discussed and appropriate suggestions and recommendations were made.
