ABSTRACT
This research focuses on the impact of audit reports on investment in financial institutions in Nigeria. The study focuses on transparency of audit reports, awareness regarding the content of audit reports, confidence in the transparency of audit reports, factors influencing reliance on audit information, integration of audit findings in decisions making. The study employs a quantitative research approach, utilizing primary data collected through structured surveys administered to banking and finance professionals. Additionally, secondary data from relevant literature, research articles, reports, and publications are utilised to obtain data. Statistical analysis techniques, including descriptive statistics were employed to analyse the data and draw meaningful conclusions. While the research achieved significant findings, it is important to note certain limitations. The findings show that transparency in reports and auditor independence also contribute to trust as investors heavily rely on audit information for decision-making.
