ABSTRACT
This study was carried out to identify the sources of stress and stress management techniques among Business Education Students in the University of Benin. Three research questions were raised and answered. The descriptive survey research design was used in carrying out this study. The target population was 167 Business Education Students in the Department of Vocational and Technical Education in the University of Benin. The sample size of 84 Business Education Students was used for this study A validated questionnaire on the identification of the sources of stress and stress management techniques of Business Education Students was used for data collection. The data was administered and retrieved manually by the researcher and the statistician made entries into the computer. The Mean and Standard Deviation was used in answering research questions. The findings of this study showed the various causes of stress such as academic workloads, meeting up with deadlines, worrying about finances on a daily basis and fear of unemployment upon graduation and how it can be managed through variety of management techniques which are being involved in any mindfulness or relaxation practices, meditating, getting enough sleep and choosing an activity that is enjoyable and cherish able. Based on these findings it was recommended among others that comprehensive workshop on stress and its management should be organized for the students at the start of every semester and also that periodic training should be organized for the course advisers to equip them with the skills of handling stress among students effectively.
