A prospect evaluation study of hydrocarbon with 3D seismic data over an Ota field using Schlumberger Petrel software in Niger Delta located on latitude 5000N and 5°25N and longitude 7°35E and 8°00E (Stacher, 1995). The objective of this study is to structurally evaluate and analyze the field with a view to identifying the structural features, generate maps and analyze reflection characteristics that could be a good pathfinder to probable hydrocarbon accumulation. Results on this study reveal the presence of growth faults represented as F1, F2, F3, F4, F5, F6 and F7. The results showed two major faults and five intra-reservoir faults. The result of the interpretation showed the existence of structural traps such as rollover structures. The result also showed that the closure types in Ota field to be fault assisted closures. Exploration wells are recommended to be drilled through these structures to test the prospect.
