ABSTRACT
One Hundred (100) ditch cutting samples were collected from the Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) from a depth of six thousand one hundred and forty feet (6140ft) to twelve thousand seven hundred and forty feet (12740ft) from OK-1 Well located in the Niger Delta Basin of Nigeria and were processed for sedimentological analysis. A lithostratigraphical chart delineating lithofacies, lithofacie units (lithozone units), Formations and associated minerals for the well was generated. Two (2) lithofacies comprising Shale and Sandy Shale were established for the well. Four (4) minerals were identified in the analysed section of the well and includes, Mica, Iron Oxide, Feldspar and Quartz.
