ABSTRACT
The project focuses on health education as a tool for delaying communicable disease onset among Uniben undergraduate. The objective of this study aimed at ascertaining the perceptions of UNIBEN undergraduates about delaying the onset of communicable diseases with health education, the health strategies that has been put in place by the institution authorities for delaying the onset of communicable diseases among undergraduates, and the perceptions of UNIBEN undergraduates about the effectiveness of the health education strategies put in place by the institution in delaying the onset of communicable diseases among them. For this study, the survey research design was adopted. The choice of the design was informed by the objectives of the study as outlined in chapter one. This research design provides a quickly efficient and accurate means of assessing information about a population of interest. The population used for this study were students in University of Benin, Edo state, Nigeria. A total of 150 respondents were selected from the population. The study concluded that health education is a tool in delaying the onset of communicable disease among UNIBEN undergraduates.
