From the finding it was conclude that gender inequality and women's underrepresentation in politics have been a persistent challenge in Nigeria, particularly in the Oredo Government Area of Edo State. Women's participation in political processes is limited. Women's low participation in politics is attributed to various factors, including lack of access to political resources, lack of political support, and cultural norms that discourage women from participating in politics. It was recommended that Political parties should be held accountable for promoting gender inequality and exclusion. There should be a concerted effort to provide women with the necessary resources, support, and mentorship to enable them to compete effectively in politics. This can be achieved through capacity-building programs, financial assistance, and the establishment of networks that connect women in politics. Lastly, there is need for political parties to prioritize gender equality by promoting women's leadership and decision-making roles. Strategies such as networking, mentoring, and capacity building can also help women overcome barriers to political participation.
