Fundamentals of Data Processing

This book is a revision of the earlier text by the authors titled
“Principles of Data Processing for Social Sciences”. The
revision is necessitated by the recent changes in the content of
the curriculum on the course in Data Processing being taught
at the Diploma and undergraduate degree programmes in the
University as well as the professional bodies like ICAN and
CIBN. Hence, we decided to change the title of the book.
The book consists of well structured thirteen chapters.'
The language employed is very lucid to make the book easy to
understand by the readers. The book provides useful guides for
practical computing to help the students in the computer
laboratory. We hope our readers would find this new and
improved edition of the book more insightful. We welcome your
comments for future improvements of the book.
