ABSTRACT
The ancient Indian system, Ayurveda, has a rich history of advocating for the use of natural substances to prevent disease and promote over-all well being. This traditional form of medicine is highly regarded for its ability to address various forms of health issues through utilization of a diverse array of herbal remedies. These natural products can be employed individually or in combination with other herbs, the latter of which is known as “polyherbal formulation” has recently gained considerable attention. The present research is aimed to study the In Vitro antioxidant capacity, bioactive constituents of DCM fraction ofs Poly X, a formulation consisting of (Hibiscus sabdariffa, Syzygium aromaticum, Zingiber officinale, and Cinnamon verum). Total Antioxidant Capacity (TAC), (DPPH) radical scavenging activity, Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power, and Thiobarbituric Acid Reactive Substance (TBARS) were analyzed. Consequently the bioactive constituents of DCM fraction of Poly X was analyzed using HPLC and GC-MS. From the study the HPLC and GC-MS results revealed the presence of bioactive constituents and volatile compound. The antioxidant assays conducted demonstrated a noteworthy antioxidant capacity and free radical scavenging Activity, which can be attributed to the synergistic effects of the herbs within the formulation. This Comprehensive analytical approach offers Valuable insight into the chemical composition and antioxidant properties of DCM fraction of Poly X, suggesting potential application in pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, and functional foods.
