ABSTRACT
The Pere Field, located within the prolific Niger Delta Province of Nigeria, represents a critical hydrocarbon reservoir with significant exploration and production potential. This project focuses on the comprehensive formation evaluation of the Pere Field to assess its geological and petrophysical characteristics, reservoir quality, and hydrocarbon potential. The study employs an integrated approach to provide a detailed understanding of the subsurface geology and reservoir properties within the Pere Field. Various formation evaluation techniques, including petrographic analysis, well log analysis, porosity and permeability assessments, and reservoir modeling, are applied to achieve a comprehensive reservoir characterization. Well log data from two wells spanning the field are collected and analyzed to predict water saturation, porosity, permeability, shale volume and net-to-gross sand distribution, the analysis was performed using Schlumberger-Petrel software.
