ABSTRACTForamiifera biostratigraphic studies and analysis was carried out in OPU-N5 Well located in the Niger Delta Basin. Drill cutting samples (CU) and side wall samples (SC) for this study was from depth 4630ft to 11920ft. The Foramifera data and Niger delta Chronostratigraphic chart used was gotten from SPDC (Shell Petroleum Development Company) was used for this study. 6 Foraminifera Zones (F – Zones); Indeterminate Zone at depth 4630ft (top) and 5500ft (base), Non diagnostic Zone at depth 5530ft (top) and 5800ft (base), Indeterminate Zone at depth 5830ft (top) and 6075ft (base), Non diagnostic zone at depth 6105ft (top) and 6765 (base), F9600 top at depth 6795ft, F9600 base at depth 9285ft, F9500 top at depth 9315 and lastly F9500 at depth 11920 was established in this Well and that was done after the Calcareous Benthic Abundance, Arenaceous Benthic Abundance, Planktic Abundance and the Total Foraminifera Abundance analyses was carried out and a chart was plotted. With the aid of this chart three (3) Maximum Flooding Surfaces (M.F.S) at depth 7305ft, 8655ft, and at 11415ft, six (6) Sequence Boundaries (S.B) at 7125ft 7755ft, 8355ft, 9345ft, 11235ft, 11625ft. The environment of deposition Outer Shelf – Deltaic environment was established using the ratio of the Benthic Foraminifera and the Planktic Foraminifera.
