ABSTRACT
This study examines the complex relationship between flexible work arrangements, job satisfaction, and the productivity of employees within the ever-changing healthcare industry, using University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Benin City as a case study. The survey design was adopted and the simple random sampling techniques were employed to gather comprehensive data from healthcare professional in this study. Furthermore, two hundred and fifty (250) questionnaires were used to sample the respondents opinions. However, the one hundred questionnaires were returned and analysed. The population size comprised of healthcare workers University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTH) Benin City. The collected and validated questionnaires were analyzed using frequency table while the hypothesis was tested using the regression analysis (ANOVA). The result of the findings reveals that there is a significant relationship between flexible working condition and job satisfaction of the employees in the healthcare sector. The study also revealed that there is a significant relationship between flexible working condition and performance of employees in the healthcare sector and also a significant relationship between job satisfaction and performance of employees in the healthcare sector. Therefore, it is recommended that healthcare organizations should develop scheduling systems that allow employees to have some control over their work hours while still meeting patient care needs. To support flexible working conditions, healthcare organizations should also invest in telehealth technology and remote work infrastructure. This enables healthcare providers to deliver care remotely and allows administrative staff to perform certain tasks from home.
