FINANCING THE GROWTH OF SMALL SCALE BUSINESS: THE ROLE OF BANKS A CASE STUDY OF UNION BANK OF NIGERIA PLC

ABSTRACT
Financing the growth of small scale business: the role of Banks, a case study of Union Bank of Nigeria Plc was carried out to investigate the problems, the extent of their hindrance to growth of small and medium scale enterprise and their possible solutions. With the aid of a survey research with a well-structured questionnaire, responses were obtained from respondents and the major findings of this study are that there was a significant relationship between SME’s financing by Banks and SME’s performance and contribution to the growth and economic development of Nigeria.
