ABSTRACT
This research focuses on film as a medium for disseminating information using “Half of a yellow sun” as a case study. It’s aimed at theorizing the challenges and prospects of the film medium as a tool for communication. The researcher adopts content analysis methodology in the selected film ‘half of a yellow sun’ also recommending that the film medium as a utility in the dissemination of a wide audience can be achieved however not without challenges hence the researcher proposed that film should be critically explored as a communication medium in order to properly disseminate information.
