ABSTRACT
The study investigated the factors that influence students' attitude toward the effectiveness of teaching and learning of Economics in secondary schools in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State. To achieve the study's objectives, three research questions were raised and examined. The total population of students offering Economics is 1130. A total sample size of 100 respondents were used for the study and were drawn from five private and public secondary schools in Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State. This was selected using a stratified and simple random sampling. The descriptive survey method was adopted as the research design while the data for the study were collected with the use of questionnaire. The instrument was validated through the experts ' judgement approach and was tested for reliability. The Pearson's Product Moment Correlation Coefficient (PPMCC) was used to determine the reliability coefficient and it came up to 0.77 indicating a high reliability coefficient. The data collected was analyzed using the descriptive and inferential statistics.
