A descriptive survey design was adopted for the study. Simple random sampling technique was used to adopt 208 ( two hundred and eight) respondents of PE teachers, administrators and students of Physical Education in Ovia North East metropolis secondary schools in Edo State, Nigeria. Checklist and questionnaire were the instruments used and it was developed by researcher titled " ‗Factors militating against the implementation of Physical Education Curriculum Questionnaire‘ (FMAIPECQ) and validated by expert in the field of Human Kinetics and Sport Science. The reliability coefficient was 0.70 using test-retest reliability. Frequency counts, simple percentage was used to analyze demographic information of the respondents, frequency, percentage and mean was used to analyze the response of the respondents to the research questions raised while frequency and percentages were used in the analysis of the checklists. The findings revealed that teacher competency was a most significant factor in PE. It was also revealed that funding has an influence on how effective curriculum implementation of PE will be achieved. It was also realized that the government is mostly responsible for secondary school sports; this makes it a herculean task as schools are densely populated and poorly funded. Students‘ attitude and the disposition of school heads also affects how Physical Education Curriculum is implemented. It was therefore recommended among others that trained physical education teachers and sports coaches should be employed to all the primary and secondary schools in Nigeria, school administrators should be sensitized on the need and importance of physical education. Edo State government should also maintain and even increase its supply of sports equipment to secondary schools, practical examinations should also be adopted in evaluation of PE students. viii
