FACTORS INFLUENCING STUDENTS STUDY HABITS IN THE JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS

ABSTRACT

This study investigated the factors influencing students study habit in Junior Secondary Schools of Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State. Five research questions were raised and answered in this study. The study adopted descriptive survey which was deemed suitable for this study; it investigated and collected views of the respondents on the factors influencing students study habit in Junior Secondary Schools of Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State. This study was conducted in Junior Secondary Schools in Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State. The sample of this study was two hundred (200) junior secondary schools students drawn through simple random sampling technique. The instrument used for data collection was structured questionnaire which was constructed by the researcher. Data collected were analyzed using simple percentage to answer the research questions. The findings revealed that students developed a good study habit from their parents.
