ABSTRACT

This project aimed to investigate the impact of antenna mount type and operating temperature on the distortion of transmission in industrial applications. A factorial experiment design (2x3) was employed, with two independent variables: antenna mount type (two levels) and operating temperature (three levels). The study utilized SPSS version 16 for data analysis. Data was collected on the distortion of transmission for nine antenna configurations, with three replicates for each combination of mount type and temperature. The ANOVA results revealed that neither antenna mount type nor operating temperature, nor their interaction, significantly impacted the distortion of transmission (p > 0.05). The absence of interaction suggests that the relationship between temperature and distortion remains consistent across different mount types. This study provides valuable insights into the industrial application of antenna configurations. Despite testing various combinations, the results indicate that neither antenna mount type nor temperature significantly affect transmission distortion, simplifying decision-making in industrial settings.
