EXPRESSING CONTEMPORARY ISSUES THROUGH “AFRO POP DANCE”

ABSTRACT

This study looks at the topic Expressing Contemporary Issues Through “Afro Pop Dance”: The Role of Costume”. The study aims at showing how costume can be a necessary synergy in a dance performance. The research methodology that was used in this research work includes experimental, primary and secondary methodologies. The research further shows how these issues affect individuals in the society and how people deal with the issues they face. The major finding of this research work identifies costumes as a creative tool in enhancing a dance performance and also shows the importance of costume in a dance performance. The researcher concluded this research work by stating that dance should be infused with the necessary costume to enhance its ability to communicate with the audience.
