ABSTRACT
The study focused on examining the teaching strategies for enhancing the teaching and learning of biology in senior secondary schools in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State. Three research question was raised in other to investigate the topic. The descriptive survey method was employed during the research design, the population of the study includes 40 biology teachers in public secondary schools in the area. The simple random sampling method was used to get the sample for the study which is 20. The instrument used is a self structured questionnaire containing various items which are related to the topic in other to elucidate data needed for analysis for the study. The mean criterion used to answer each research question raised. It was concluded that students will benefit more during the process of teaching and learning when the various teaching strategies are applied during teaching of biology.
