ABSTRACT
Effect of different potting media on growth of soursop (Annona muricata) was studied. Freshly harvested seeds of soursop were germinated in polypots under greenhouse conditions using the screen house of the Department of Crop Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. The seedlings were soaked in water for 24 hours before sowing to facilitate easy germination and break dormancy. Cow dung manure (cd), poultry manure (pm), were added in relatively equal compositions with soil. Physical and chemical characteristics of different media combination were studied. Data was collected on a biweekly basis 2 weeks after emergence of the seedlings for plant growth parameters. Tscd3 (1:1) proved to be a superior potting medium for growth of soursop (A. muricata) in the screen house although there is no significant difference between the potting medias.
