ABSTRACT
In this study, we conducted a comprehensive analysis of crude oils from Field X and Field Y in the Niger Delta region. Our investigation encompassed various parameters, including wax content, wax appearance temperature (WAT), pour point, and SARA analysis. The results shed light on the waxy nature of these crude oils and their potential for wax-related issues. The wax content values for Field X and Field Y indicate that Field Y's crude oil contains significantly more wax. This discrepancy is further corroborated by the higher pour point and WAT values for Field Y. These findings suggest that Field Y's crude oil is more prone to wax deposition and related complications compared to Field X.
